Regassing aircon

Postby Bernard » Tue Sep 11, 2007 10:49 pm

I've searched some older threads on this but there's nothing too recent.
Has anyone tried this lately, my father got it done recently on his car and it cost nearly €150.
I had a look on Halford's site and it seems quiet reasonable ( do they offer this service in Ireland ).

Has anyone done it themselves?

Halfords are selling a pack for €59 (i think) which includes a tin of gas and a disinfectant as well.

I bought the bottle in halfords over the weekend.
The whole job took around five minutes, no trouble.

The only worry I had was when the engine changed note during the regassing and the pressure jumped on the gauge.
It settled back down straight away though.
