Anti theft suggestions

Postby moonpig » Sat Mar 31, 2007 5:17 pm

Hi All, As per my last post they tried to steal my FTO 2 weeks ago.. anyway thanks for your advice I have it back driving now etc. I thought it had an immob but apparently not.. are these not standard on the FTO? I have a high grade chain and lock on the wheel now. Can you guys recommend a good alarm system/immob??? Also my central locking is very moody... would it be the battery in the key needs changing? or the locking motor? All suggestions appreciated thanks. Do you guys meet up at all?

No standard immobiliser as far as I know.

I put a Meta alarm and separate immobiliser on mine, so even if you have the keys you need to know how to disable the immobiliser. I usually have to show someone at least twice how to do it, so I'm pretty happy the car is going nowhere.

I know a lad that does alarms cheap enough. Can do your basic alarm or engine start, proximity sensors etc depending what you want. Not sure exact prices but if your interested i'l ask for a quote. Just let me know what you want exactly and i'l get a price.

Thanks alot 8) My cousin said he'd be able to do it for me so I got it sorted now. Just have to go and pick an alarm/immob and get the job done. The button on the key is out of action now completely! I'll have to get him to look at that too.
