Brembos would be a really nice upgrade but are crazy money.
Possibly makes more sense to stick with the standard 2 pot calipers on the GPX and upgrade to braided hoses, drilled disks and EBC Red Stuff pads.

Brembos would be v cool alright, can't justify spending that kinda bobs at the mo though... :(

I've redstuff on mine, and yup, until they warm up they're not great (are any brakes great when they're cold?), but it doesn't take long to warm them up, and I reckon most people take it handy for the first bit of driving anyway.

The one thing I do find with them, I have standard GPX brake discs (upgraded my front brakes to the GPX 2 pot calipers) and if you keep your foot on the brake pedal when stopped in traffic/at lights, muck can build up on the discs and you can get a rubbing noise.

Personally, I'm happy enough with my redstuff front pads, but I've only tried those and the std pads that were on it when it arrived.

I run on the black EBC pads - standard GPX two pots..I'm generally happy.

Very dusty pads though..

Red Stuff wouldn't be ideal on standard disks but if you're upgrading to Drilled and/or grooved Aftermarket disks with the braided hoses then they would be a good option. Green Stuff otherwise.

I have Greenstuff on a standard GPx and they are way better than the originals. but you do have to warm them up a bit.
