the standard tape deck / 6 CD changer that came in the GPvR. :) Old but classic.

Excellent job, I do like a clean FTO.

Between weather and trying to do my bit to conserve water, I haven't washed the cars since before Christmas, they're well overdue a bang of a sponge...

I was just going to say, till I saw Bernard's post, that it must be one of the few pure stock GPvR's around? Laura's would be stock too apart from the painted alloys, not sure what stereo she has though? Looks good. Hard to bring out the shine on a white car but you've done it well.

Great job you did alright! Given the weather recently is been hard to justify doing it, but the result is great.

Yep its an ol Mercedes G Wagon alright. As used by the German Army, and then the German public. Classic piece of history there.
The guy in pic 7 is actually the guy who did the valet on it (and a mate) while I cleaned the engine bay. He did a billiant job.
He is only getting his website going and only has a few regular customers right now, but I'll post the link when he gets the site up.
He has all the mobile equipment. sprayer, wet vac, and all the best products. He wanted to do the car to put it as a sample on the site etc.
My car was 1mm thick of black grime etc as I haven't cleaned it in months with the weather. I think I'll make an effort
to clean it more often though. There is something very special about driving a very clean car inside and out. It feels great. :)
I forgot what that feeling when I had neglected the cleaning the past few months. actually, I conciously thought it was better being
black with dirt because where we live was covered in snow for 2 weeks and I think its better to be visible in case some landrover
drove into me and said he couldn't see me etc. lol. anyway, I'll be washing it and waxing it regulalry now again.
thanks for all the comments lads, much appreciated by all.

+ 1 - Unusual to see such a clean FTO with the OE ICE, OE Induction and even the OE floor mats.
Modding the FTO can be very tempting but theres a lot to be said for a well maintained original.

I'll make another clip of that situation next time I clean the car and have someone there with me.
It sounds different now since I replaced the cat with a milteck cat replacement box.
It was the same after the change, but I think the exhast has built up some carbon deposits in the back end now that were never there pre-decat so it sounds much deeper, throaty, than raspy. It's still a great sound, but defo a little bit different.
Will do that vid this week or weekend and post it up in this thread to compare. same distance angle and amount of revs.

no idea if you can buy the 5zigen on the net. It was on the car when I got it. Its a 5zigen pro racer A spec I believe. Lots of clips on youtube of the exhaust on other cars. I bought the milteck decat box instead of a straight pipe as it was on offer for 60euro on camskill.com
