Sun!

Postby CJ » Thu Jun 01, 2006 11:39 am

I know its hard to believe but the sun is out and its looking good for the weekend. Perfect driving weather, just keep an eye out - it is a bank holiday weekend after all. I'm hoping to take the Rex out for a decent spin at some stage, after all it was bought with weekend motoring in mind.

I feel an impromtu tyre kicking session coming on....

If you're going to look for a nice stretch of road, remember that the Gardai are also out in force at bank holiday weekends.

Always worth pointing out pergau. I have yet to map the car fot 95 RON so I'll be staying off boost most of the time and taking it handy.

If you're driving around the country this weekend, remember to drive safely!

Was the guy who owned the car in the UK running it for the past 10 years on 98 RON - why would it make such a difference ?

It was imported into the UK in Feb, he was running it on 98 for the few months it was in the country. Rotarys react badly to detonation, I'd rather pay the few quid and have it remapped for our crappy fuel than risk blowing up the engine.
