I've got 18's on mine, with lowered suspension.

Your problem will be the tyres scrubbing on the inside.
That and the bad ride and constant fear of hitting potholes.

I'd rather 17's to be honest. though I think 18's look great.

Yes you can fit 18's no problem but the need for spacers will be determined by the offset of the rim you are buying.

I would recommend however that you don't go bigger than 17's - spend the money on a tastier and lighter set of 17's - it will look and perform much better.

I had 18's on mine and changed to 17's a month ago. I prefer the car this way.

They will and you'll need an ET 35 offset.

ET35 offset or maybe even a little more for looks. I think an ET 28-32 offset would look better as it would make the rim sit out a little more.

Well - you'll have to if you are changing up a size or 2 from the standard 16's. Otherwise they'll rub.

Guess its down to personal choice, but me i wouldn't want wheels sitting proud of the bodywork, but i had no issues with an ET 35 offset apart from a small bit of rubbing on full lock.

Mmm, MyFTO, I went up to 17's, offset as far as I know was still the same, it depends on the design/style of the rim I suppose. I got scrubage initially with 225 45 17 tyres but now im on 215 40 17 and dont get any even on full lock. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction :?:

just to say very quickly... the standard 16inch rim is one of the lightest alloys I have ever felt. Its really an excellent standard rim, just a pity it wasn;t better styled and possibly 17inch. but still... not bad at all. very light.

I'd agree totally, pretty strong rim to, I'm holding into mine unless I get a great price for them!
