Worth a read, the Facebook comment says it all. Its worth considering some of the points if you're currently looking for a job.(In the US, 55% of emploers use social networking sites to check on job candidates, now would be a good time to clean up your Facebook profile!)

Are they allowed to take the social aspect into account when hiring? Isnt there a line between work related and social activities?
I havent or wont give out my facebook page at work, aprt from to the other manager, maybe when I leave there I'll give it to them, but the way I see it, I dont want people I'm managing to see what I do on weekends, or see comments I make, or comments others make to me, or my mafia wars page or stuff like that.
On anything like that I'd never make a comment about work or about other people, not on the public part of it anyway, but I have seen comments coming up from other people which are a bit dodgy.

It's all good if you know who your friends are and your page is private.
I know a past landlord (and now friend
) looked me up and was impressed, then again I wouldn't have anything to hide (except the odd lesbian type photo) but he liked that sort of thing

Oh dear...
Love that only some of the names are scribbled out,.,.if somebody wanted to find her surely it'd just be a matter of looking at the visible names..

I'm sure she's figured out how to change her name, but then again, she's pretty thick...

Apparently, from looking online, it was a bit of an evil campaign against devout christians on facebook done by a crowd called 4chan. More here;
