The RRP you stated above Dan would that be for a complete kit (Front and Rear)

Did you just get the fronts.

Hold on a sec. I've been watching this on FTOOC's for sale section.

http://ftooc.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=94429

The guy was offering these exact same ones for...

all brand new asking for **£700** for the lot

£600 for the front kit

£100 for the back kit

open to negotiations!!!!!

Dan, I'm not trying to rat you out here, but whats with all the smoke and mirrors? You think we'll be less impressed with a turbo conversion if you manage to complete it at a reasonable cost?

I like the Alcons - had a 4 pot set on a previous car.

Those 6 pot calipers look quite big Dan - you sure they're gonna fit under a set of 17's - they also look like they need bigger than the 330mm disks you have - did they come with the disks?

This is the kit I got but i didnt pay that for them.
and Again I gave you the RRP for them as i told you i didnt want to say.
I dont like saying how much i payied for things just something I have a problem with.
Iv shown this a few times on the site.

Ill do a total cost for everything at the end.

If you don't like saying how much you paid for stuff, that's grand, I can respect that right.
I just don't see why the misleading figures of £1500+, but given your dues, you did say RRP. Someone who is potentially interested in such a purchase might be completely put off by you quoting the figure when it was at one stage available for less than half that!

Yes I did say RRP.

if somone had real intrest id be more than happy to go through things with somone who was genuinely intrested via PM on how to do things as cost affectively as possable.

But what am i to say here as some people will want all new parts and to be reasured by a warranty but others would like t do it as cheap as possable.

Not looking at starting a row here but if your looking for something an want to go into it in detail PM me. other than that iv to be as broad as possable.

I know this has gone off topic but this a forum to help owners and potential new owners gain as much info and detail as possible. I for one cant see any reason why you cant post where these bits are available and let people get their own pricing. It all seems very covert to me. You post up and when asked for more detail are unwilling to give it.
After all Dan the Turbo Project is a bit of an unknown entity to all of us including you.
I would also think you would find it a lot easier to post details now rather than trying to remember everything down the road

Dan Im just going to say it straight, this isnt the first time you've been misleading about prices etc. Remember the thread that said:
'All ye carbon junkies are going to hit the roof' and you went to talk about this great deal and refused to reveal prices?? If you dont want to answer these questions then thats your decision, but why else talk about it?? Why even bother quoting a RRP price in the first place...? Its hyprocritical. Do you just want people to tell you how great they look? How can you justify taking about RRP prices but not what you actually paid? It makes no sense. Especially when the RRP has nothing to do with the question you were asked. Personally I think your playing this up to make it look like you've spent way more than you have. Dunno why you'd do this but I cant think of any other reason. And the photos you put up, they're copied from another site and arent yours is it? Dont get me wrong know, I think the turbo-ing is a great project, i just dont like the vagueness that goes with it.

Really its down to the hormonalness of alot of the members on here. and the attidude which i see on a day to day basis. That I just dont feel the need to put in the effort anymore (which i will say is terrable as this forum was the reason i bought my FTO with what i feel once was a very friendly club)

Again if I get a once off deal how is that going to help somone, when they cant find them at that price too.

And Yes I did post them to show off my new buy.

And one more thing for the stuff iv had to do and to get i PM'd people about it theres too much and it changes soo much from person to person theres no point posting it on the forums because what could be the prefect bit of info for one person could be the end of an engine for another.

any other Turbo conversion thread that hass good quality is people asking direct questions about info. and never on the prices. If anyone has some technical queries about the project id be more than happy to help as iv sat for hours with people in the prosess of a forced induction thread or a NA performance build going through things, so its not the info im not looking to share.

And ill point anyone the the direction i feel best for them to get what they need but i dont see the need to answer questions that maybe 1 person here would be intrested in getting. So pm is the best option in my oppinion.

and you dont need to either, this is a public forum and well ahh have our own interpritation of the site.

And its not like Im going about talking about pies the whole time.
I just refuse to talk about money i spend on stuff thats not bought from a shop.
I was the same when i bought the car even though the link was up for pistonheads.
We all have our own little pickey things, and mine is money. This could be because i cant actually afford the money im spending on the car as of late and its nobodys business either
