hi all,

Finally got the alarm fitted yesterday. seems ok so far. thanks for the support. adjusted the proximity sensor abit up though as it didn;t go off unless you jumped up and down on the bonnet ;) sorted now.

anyone ever have any problems with autolock? Was just thinking, I often start my car sometimes to warm it up, and then go and move my GFs car or grab something from the house etc. potentially, my car could autolock while running. :D that might not be so good. I think the doors lock once I start the engine or 20 seconds after or something.
Might disable this feature its actually possible to do what I just described, cause I'll end up doing it. maybe it only locks the doors once you start moving, which is cool. complex alarm all the same. I think I should hold feedback for a few weeks. I've already locked myself in the car and disabled balckjack while the alarm went off in a garage forecourt. you egt over the embarrassment though after it happens three times. LOL :D

The autolock feature on the Cliffords can be a bit of a pain, it takes a while to get used to. Its designed to work in conjunction with the anti car jacking feature (Blackjax). You're talking about disabling it - do you have a Cliffnet cable perchance?

CJ, Ed has the cable so I'd do it at his if I need to. I was just checking it at lunch. Autolock is grand. The doors will autolock 3 seconds after the ignition is started IF the doors are closed. If you let it autolock and then get out and close the door with the engine running, it won't autolock again until the RPM goes above 2.5k. If u start it with the door open and then close the door, same thing, it will wait till car is revved over 2.5k so no probs.

I gave up on him a few weeks ago (no answer + messages not returned). I went with another mobile installer (Dave - 0876343208) who did a great job and I highly recommend him, he isn't Clifford certified as I understand it.

Maybe Fergal is away out of country? I rang him about 3 weeks back cause I locked the keys in my car with autolock (genius that I am)... I had the engine running, and the bonnet up and went to listen to the engine. A mate then inadvertently revved it from the bonnet. LOCK!. tut tut...
anyway Fergal answered and was helpful and this was after hours.

Clifford all the way though. not one problem from the alarm in a year.
