KMC v4 dials fitted

When fitting needle cups recently, I managed to mess up one of the original white dials. After that, I decided to fit a set of KMC v4 dials, I'm really happy with the results, they look much funkier than the originals and are much more visible at night, see below:

Sure did, just didn't bother posting pics. The other dials have the same design and look the part.

I'm juts in the middle of installing white plasma glow dials.

Question 1: Why do the instructions say to place the new dials over the existing old ones, as opposed to replacing the old dials with the new ones.

Question2: The dials have there own build in lights, should I remove the 3 or 4 bulbs that provide lighting for the dashboard?

Q1: It's a PAIN removing the org dials and you really don't need to.

Q2: I left mine in - remember the bulbs light up the needles - so if you remove them you'll have no light in the needle.
The bit I found difficult when I fitted my glow-dials was fitting the wires in and around all the electronics - and linking it all up with the Volt-meter/Clock - whilst still trying to install the little switch box somewhere handy.

Enjoy mate - it'll be worth it in the end.

Q2. I ended up taking the bulbs out of the main Speedo unit (not the clock & temp gauge) because I got a misty glow through the gaps when they were on that I felt took away from the colour glow image in the dark. But Maud is right your needles then become a silhouette, so try both and see what you prefer.
