Car audio

Postby soc » Thu Sep 25, 2008 10:04 pm

Anyone ever had sound deadening fitted as part of a professional audio install? I'm thinking of adding some sound deadening but I think I'd prefer for a pro to do it and at the same time fit some better speakers with a new head unit and possibly a hidden sub.

Looking for reccommendations on good place to investigate getting this done.

Any decent ICE outlet can do this for you, if you want to do it on the cheap, search for 'flashband'.

Aye - I was thinking that Honda crowd Icetronix used to do custom builds if you want to go nuts.. I'm sure they're still at it..

Yea, I did flashband on my FTO but I need some foam anti-rattle pads as well and I really want to give that big car feel - I was out in a TT that has a load of stuff from a company called SecondSkin - a sludge that you paint on followed by some dynamat and some anti-rattle pads - soundwise it felt like I was in a big saloon while driving around....
