Nope you just remove the cowling around the ignition, disconnect the ignition plug at the left side of the ignition barrel, plug this into one end of the remote start. The other end of the remote start plugs into the ignition you just unpplugged. Then ground the earth wire on the steering column or anywhere you can get a good earth.
Press start and after a couple of seconds car starts up.
I am now lookin at a way of overcoming the fact that a manual has to be in neutral. or more to the point preventing an attempted start when car is in gear.
Simpliest way is to put a normally closed limit switch on the earth, you then will only have power when the box is in neutral. Problem is where to locate the switch. either on top of the box or under the gear stick. Must have a closer look tomorrow.
One other feature is it will automatically shut off after approx 10 mins.
