How many Previous owners on your FTO

How many previous owners on your FTO?
How many would you consider too many, or like me would you be judged more by the condition of the car

One in Japan, two in England.
I'm with you Rory, it depends on the condition although I'd be concerned if it was an unusually high number...

Reason I ask is I have been offered a 96 Manual GPX for a bargain. Have not given it the complete once over but It seems in good condition. Need to look more closely tomorrow. 100K miles on clock and 7 previous owners. first imported into Ireland in 1998. Now I dont care about mechanical stuff as I have all I would need from smallest bolt to Engine.

What I want is a good straight shell that has never been in am major accident. Front panel is original and all panel line up properly.
Leather interior and a few other extra bits. It was NCT'd recently and failed on emissions only.

I have decided to scrap my own GPX as the quarter panel is damaged badly due to me reversing into it with a van and driving the hitch through the side of it.

Cars like FTO's can be bought on a whim, and I'd imagine people often need to change them for practical reasons.
The only thing to worry about is potential difficulty selling it on again with 8 owners.

I know a guy who sells high end cars, he says it's normal enough on performance cars to mave lots of owners, people grow out of them.

There were 5 owners on my FTO, and I had no problem selling it. If the car is in good condition, and is at the right price then the number of owners isn't too important. It's an old car.

I wont be selling it again at least that is the plan. Hope to have one for years.

I think in years to come the FTO is going to rare on our roads and parts will be at a premium. MItsubishi are not going to keep making parts for a car that is already 14 years old in some cases.

Normally I would never ask the amount of owners and go on the condition of the car. A good once over tomorrow and down the road if all is OK

I am the sixth owner of my 95 gpx its been well minded a little scrap here and there i would expect that in most cars 13 yrs old and more. I think that people change there car when there circumstances change ie...mortgage,baby etc....
