I don't think that Tein S spec springs are the best. The Eibach Pro's or the Apex look better on the FTO (stance wise) and are at least as good handling and probably better ride quality wise.

I've only tried stock & Apex springs, so dunno what the Tein are like. The Apex are fine for me anyway. Is it springs or coilovers you're looking at?

The Apex lower the front 45mm which is fine, so I reckon 49mm should be no probs. They lower the back by 25mm though, so dunno what a 49mm drop on the rear would be like.

The tein springs makes the FTO look like its sitting on its haunches which looks poor as opposed to the wedge shaped stance of the eibachs and more particularly the Apex.

Yup. Think of a dog sitting down. Wouldnt want your FTO looking like that. If anything the rear should seem to a bit up, that what you mean by 'wedge' MF?

the teins only drop 45mm in the back not 49mm

ok so i want my car lowered, not too low but i want it to be noticable, some of the ones ( Eibach Pro's ) only lower 25mm, does that make alot of difference???

i want the "street racer/ drag" kinda look.. but of ar$e up nose down but not too much of a difference between the 2!

i want suble dragster.... if there is such a thing!

ive never bought springs for any car b4 so i know nothin about them!

i know i have 3 main options
*tein
*apex
* Eibach Pro's

which wil give me the kinda look im goin for???

cheers guys! :D

Guys, I have Tein in my GPvR. Just springs on their own, and I think they are great. Certainly up on the same level as Apex or any other manufacturer. Ride is firm and car sits nicely on them. I've seen them getting bashed abit on here before, never heard my car looked like a dog sitting on its haunchers though. thats a first. :?

McGon - you can see from your FTO that the Tein springs make the rear look lower than the front - hence "sitting on its haunches". Some people like that look - personally I prefer a more "tippytoe" stance where the front is lower than the rear like the Apex on my last FTO -

ah fair enough guy, I just would not have said it "looks poor" though. Or like a "dog sitting". I suppose its easy to be defensive of your pride and joy though eh?
The way you lads were describing Tein springs it seems like they make your car look like the engine was taken out of the front and put in the boot.

I take your point though. You can see it in this picture even better.
I think the car looks lower/sleeker than a tippy toe spring setup, but as you said it's a matter of taste and the ook you want. the tippy toe is more aggressive and less sleek. Still, I have a hankering for those coilovers now... :D
From what the OP said, I think she's deffo after the tippytoe dragster look.

What's ironic is your car actually looks a little lower at the front in that picture. I reckon it looks well regardless.
