A lil help please?

Postby Ray_S » Wed Aug 26, 2009 5:43 pm

Hey I've got one o those stupid annoyin problems that 90% o the people here could prob fix in a second.
How would I change the radio connections so that it's connected to the battery and not the ignition. The stations won't save on the radio and it's reli annoyin? Any help is appreciated!

if it's a Sony radio, there'll be bullet connectors on the loom that you can swap around.

Where abouts will these wires be? In the bonnet or behind the radio?

Behind the radio, do you have access to a multimeter? there are usually two seperate multi pin plugs on aftermarket headunits one for power and the other for speaker connections, Power plugs would have max of about 5 wires coming from it usaully coloured Black(negative/ground), red(permenant live), yellow(switched live), orange(power aerial), blue(remote switch for amp).
