V6 Bioethanol conversion

Ànybody know if this would cause any harm to the engine. There's a conversion specialist in the vacinity and I'm thinking of upping the car loan I got or saving a bit so that I can get it done when I get an FTO.

Surely you'd want to be doing a LOT of miles for this to make financial sense on a car worth 5-8K?

I haven't seen it done on the FTO to date - I imagine there would need to be some fairly extensive modifications on the V6 mivec.

most of the appeal of a new bioethanol car is the VRT rebate. Wouldn't think you'd save enough to make it worth your while, would it make the engine more powerful?

I think bioethanol gets less MPG, but improves power. I'm thinking that it'll improve resale in a few years with petrol around €2/€2.50.

What MPG doe the MIVEC get when driven in city centre and hard on open road?? I'd be hoping nobody says less than 25

I get 25 (11.25 litres per 100 km) on mine the weekend I took it from Dublin to Clare via Limerick, that was on the Maxol with 5% bioethanol - which I think improves fuel economy. It is obviously harder on fuel around town though.

Not even sure how the Celica runs on unleaded, never mind bioethanol !
