Must be the alcohol or something..

I normally use cold water.. Cold like.. not luke warm.. and I start the car with the aircondition on full whack.

yea id say the alcohol alright. I was parked in a carpark for a few hours with no water to hand, so just gave it a bash with a cd case and was on my way in 2minutes

I start it from the bedroom before I get into the shower and she automatically turns off after 15 mins or so with all the ice defrosted and nice warm car inside. :)

If in a hurry or the battery gone dead in the remote then I use warm water, dont see the risk as long as its not too hot. Cold water just refreezes, and takes too long to take the ice off.

A credit card works wonders as a makeshift ice scraper....

In case someone out there doesn't get the joke - DON'T USE BOILING WATER TO CLEAR ICE FROM YOUR WINDSCREEN!

Warm water will do just fine...
