Forgot what it was all about

I spent a fair bit of time washing and polishing the car this week in preparation for the meet. the car doesn't see much driving with me living close to work and driving my company car for any long journeys. I took the car home this evening with the intention of tidying a few little bits up. About an hour ago, I just got the urge to take it for a good old drive, the weather's cleared up and I hadn't been down Kildare's backroads since the Autumn. Felt good driving the car on something other than motorways or urban roads, the car felt alive, and for the first time in ages I got an adrenalane rush from driving (An Avensis is the alternative transport), this is what justifies the ridiculous insurance! The car is now filthy again, but I don't care :D

Anyhoo, just thought I'd share!

Know where you're coming from. I'm not a speed freak (not adverse to it every now and then though). Love the power, acceleration and responsiveness of the FTO. Adrenaline is good for you!

Off Topic: (even on this thread) Been neglecting my bike since I got the FTO. Pulled the battery out on Friday to charge it. Got up early on Sunday for a good adrenaline rush (beautiful day). Ignition barrel had been popped.

Drove the FTO like sh*te for an hour and a half.

Problem solved :D (for now).

Have to say I was smiling away reading that cos I know exactly what you mean. Was out for a quick spin last week on some Limerick back roads in a couple of FTO's and was commenting on how it was ine of those times when you just wanted to keep driving. Its a nice feeling in a normal car, but something special in an FTO. :D

Ya can beat the back roads. I took mine out for a good rip there yesterday. It always feels so good to let it out and the FTO loves it too
