Red lining an FTO

Postby karlf » Thu Feb 26, 2009 12:47 pm

At what revs does a Gpx red line? I've got hks dials in mine and not sure if they are the right ones for the Gpx. I assume the GS,GR, Gpx all have different rev limits as they are different engines meaning the dials would have to be different to suit.

Just take the revs up to the limiter, and make a note of it. think mine limits at 8800.

It's definately a little higher than 5500 anyway. I kinda shift up based on the engine note rather than the rev counter.

The red line on the rev counter starts at 7000-7500 on mine. I was told with the mivec it should be higher. Was just wondering, didn't want to be over (or under) doing it  . Whats the milage for a full tank of petrol in a Gpx? I reset the trip to zero when I filled up and only got 220 before I refilled again. Could have sworn I got 300+ on the last full tank coming back from the UK.

I think it was texaco I filled up last time, on the kylemore road. I'l give the Topaz a go so see if it gives more milage per tank. Cheers lads
