Hi,

I fancy doing this kind of thing to my rear lights... I was talking to someone at the meet with a silver fto who did it... Sorry can't remember your name!! Whoever you are you recommended a good spray to do this as you had tried several and one was particularly good?

That would probably have been CJ - he has tinted his orange indicators red - I wouldn't tint the Reversing light though.

Think that was Kace actually? The guy who works in Sandyford & looks after my car  when it's parked there....

Kace, where'd you get the spray?

Yep - twas me.

Here is the result http://www.fto-ireland.com/forum/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=53

I would recommend Folia-Tec only as I used a different brand and it completely faded away. The folia-tec is renowned and so far so good.

I took a chance and did the reversing lights also - all Alpha 156s are like this so I took a chance.

Thats the key - as long as it lights up amber its ok - easy on the tint then.

Yep - best to take out the full light fitting and then mask off the red brake area so that you just leave the indicator exposed.

I did tint the rear indicators (twice) but they faded completely, the second time I used a clearcoat over the tint with the same problem. Dont use 'Savage' tint spray!

Kace, where did you get the Foliatec btw?

My local Halfords (Blanch) doesn't stock the tint spray, theres none on ebay and Foliatec's website ain't much use, I seem to remember having similar problems getting hold of Foliatec products in the past

Dave, is this the Foliatc stuff? I notice from their website that they only sell Savage tint spray, I won't be using that again in a hurry (see above).

Meant to mention, I was in Dublin last Saturday and ended up going into Halfords in Liffey Valley and spotted Foliatec lense spray in there. Meant to mention when I got back home that night.
