just was on way home an voltage dropped and heard horrible squeal from the fan belt,thought it was very strange as i new the belt was tight and there should be no reason for such a racket.passing a funeral wake with the car screaming was not very fun needless to say
when i stoped and popped the bonnet, i seen that the top bolt that holds the alternator in place had snapped off. there lies my problem,i will have a closer inspection tomorrow but was wondering if it is a nut and bolt on the top of the bracket or just a bolt? if it is the latter witch im sure it will be just to be awkward how bad is my problem?? is it just a bolt into the cast bracket or what is the setup? fto's re a joy to work on
