errr huummmm
At first i wasn't going to answer but then again i'm me so ofcourse i'm going to
Not all showcars are over done monstrosity's some ...nah most are done with taste, i'm guessing you haven't been to many proper modified car show. i'm talking about one where awards are given out ect, not a lets orginise an event and get as many people to turn up and show off event.
or lets find a carpark and do a doughnut or drift challange untill the cops arrive,
I'm talk loads of car groups in an orginised fashion setting up stands having commities from each group say (fto-lancer-350z-rx7&8-scobby-fairlady-skyline-integra-nsx-ect) selecting the best cars and handing out trophies and the likes of jap performance and banzi ect turning up to cover the event, from what i've seen the limerick show was as close to that as i've seen
I'm talking the likes of JAE thats held every year in england. for one thing you wouldn't see too many cars like that at it and any that you do see usually win f**k all because at the end of the day its about taste...... the taste of the individual who mods his car like that and the taste of the judges who laugh at cars modded like that yes alot of money was put into that car but it was ruined but certain aspects. for one the colour, if that was just one colour like say daves old blue one it would look 100 times better and would do better in a show. 2 tone cars do look good but not when one of the colours is so loud compared to the other. for him to call it a show car i say show me your trophy
Phew rant over
