What sort of performance would you get out of the Cosworth Engine?

Its amazing what some people will try on!! 26k! Would you even get 3 or 4k?

The seat could have been adjusted for the pic, but if not thats a seriously small driver!

I've been driving a 98 scooby for the past few weeks (while I'm getting the FTO sorted) - its worth about 10K and theres no way I'd want a Cosworth Escort over the scooby - this is stupid mooney for a car that won't outperform an Impreza Turbo.

They're meant to be a bit of a cult car - but you'd have to really want one to pay anything over 16K for one.

have seen this car, good example, but looks better in photo TBO, these go for mental money, like the sierra RS cosworths.

they are more tunable than scoobys, a few 350-400bhps cossies round, seen one in N Ireland a few years back that was 600bhp road legal
but give me an STI type R anyday.

id feel ripped off paying half the asking price :x

but they are as rare as hobbyhorse sh**e

As two litre turbo's go though the EVO seems to be an awful lot more tuneable that guy Simon Norris in the Uk is well over 700Bhp

evo's r very tunable-rc developments (900bhp) and simon norris's both big players in the uk.
I had an Evo VI previously and i could never understand the attraction for the cosworths. Ok, a capable enuf machine but ur looking at 15K for a 1994 car AND its only a Ford FFS :smt102

As a teenager I used to love the escort cosworth - it wasking in it's day. But while I wouldn't pay stupid money to own one I do understand why they can fetch such rediculous prices - they're rare and they're one of the original 4wd rally reps for the road - they belong with the lancia delts integrale's and original audi quattro's. They really were pretty wicked cars in their day....

Ah, the Delta Integrale, had one of them for 18 months back in my younger days in the UK, Martini Colour scheme and all :smt004 . Full of rust though, that was their big downfall. Great car while it lasted. :D

The 6R4 was one ugly car - Thought the RS200 was a nicer all round machine at the time.

Have to say the Lancia Integrale is one of my fav cars of all time. Timeless looks - pity the bodywork isn't as timeless.

There was an RS200 in AT a few weeks back for £150K

All those rally homologation specials are awesome machines but the likes of soobys and evos give real world rally fun AND reliability for relatively affordable doh.

Evos stil a bit dear to run tho compared to soobs but less common

they are only stupid money because of how rare they are

they even make VI`s look common

but apart from that , you certainly are not paying for performance.
think the (old Shape)jap wrx is superior in every way including handling , cornering.
