Driving Licence Query

Anyone on here know if you need to sit a test to get a licence for a van e.g Transit or do you just apply and they puty it on your current licence

Your current licence(assuming its a full licence) should cover you to drive vehicles up to 7.5T, which will include transits etc.. Hope this helps

Ya, I think the DHL guys in the little rigid yokes only need std car licenses to cover them. Any bigger than that though and they need the bigger one alright.

Done some checking on this and you have to have a full Class B licence to get a Class C provisional. But how do you get a class C full.

You have to apply for a provisional class C and then do a test in the normal fashion, theres no easy way as far as I know. IIRC, a C license is only required for vehicles that can carry more than 8 passangers or is over 2 ton in weight.
