R-Spec V-Tec/Mivec Controller

Postby 5803emma » Wed Sep 02, 2009 1:28 pm

Hi guys,

The above came with my car but isn't wired up. I barely have the money to keep her in petrol with Mivec consigned to 5500 revs, let alone have it kicking in earlier! so anyone interested is welcome to have a look and take it off my hands. It's identical to this little guy:

Any fair offer is fine by me, I'm not sure what it's worth. PM me if your interested!

Thanks! :smt003

These aren't really any use as the MIVEC already cuts in at the optimum point. as proven on the track, changing the time decreases 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

That said it does look pretty, I'd give €20.

Well have a look at it before you commit to anything, cause the silver colour looks much lighter on the picture, it's not as aesthetically pleasing in real life, but that's only my opinion, I'm totally tasteless like!! :smt002

To be honest, I'd be wiring it up, and mounting it inside the centre armrest or somewhere out of sight, hate clutter in the car.

Why dont you start a little collection on some area in the car Colm, like I started under my steering wheel, have the Jap sat nav and the remote starter box there, going to fit some more things too, so when all the flashy lights are going it'll be like a disco down there! :D

Jesus no. I have the phone kit controls and the controller for the KMC dials pretty well hidden down low to the left of the drivers seat. I hate boxes and exposed wires and dash mounted dials and all that kind of thing inside a car.

Does the controller come with an ECU piggyback harness? If not, you'll need to break into the ECU wiring to install. I undertook the same process a number of years ago and documented it, see link below. Disclaimer: undertake at your own risk.
