Was in one a couple of years back in the UK.
Pretty hefty car (circa 1700kgs AFAIK) but good turbo shove for impressive 0-60 (under 6 secs) and 0-100 times (circa 15 secs).
Certainly quite the "Q" car.

However he should be able to get one in for well under 14K - he'll find it very difficult come resale on this side of the pond.

Theres a 03 on Carzone for 8K and I'd say an offer of 6.5K would likely buy this particular example - http://www.carzone.ie/search/Volvo/S60/ ... 804/advert

Even heavier.. 2100kg! 0-60.. 5.7sec, serious performance considering weight.

That was my point to him. But they are very rare here. In UK, and nice one is about 8k, and VRT (stupidly) about 6k for the '03. Thats the first one we've seen for sale in Ireland, so cheers for that. The asking price is reflective of just how hard those things are to get rid of.

Nah - theres NO way a '03 S60R is anywhere over 1800kgs - just looked it up there and figures quoted seem to come in between 1640kgs and 1700kgs dependant on spec.

2100kgs would be about right for a top end SUV. (My RRS is a massively portly 2600kgs ).

Sorry, I must have read the wrong bit on the "technical data" the autotrader give on the car.
"Minimum Kerb Weight = 1637kg". That does make more sense.
What I had mistakenly quoted was...
"Gross vehicle weight = 2110kg". What that then?
