Yeah, on the Dock Road, used to be Kia dealers for a while before Motorzone got the franchise.

He's been Enterprise Cars since at least 1996 - but I think he used to get some stock from Japcars in Dublin alright back when Jap imports were booming. Then he had a Kia franchise (which I think he lost) and now has just a normal used lot of cars with a few Japs thrown in. He is a bit of a gangster alright but then I don't know very many dealers in Limerick that aren't.

Went jeep shopping in Limerick last week, was looking for a Pajero/Shogun/Land Cruiser around 04-05. Was shocked at the lack of service history on the 4 I looked at (none had), nobody took my number even though I had cash ready.

I've heard of a couple of similar stories of late in terms of car dealers and salesmen making absolutely no effort with customers - a general malaise in the industry perhaps?

Graces father wanted to buy a jeep couple of weeks ago, there was some that had absolutely no interest in dealing with them, and they give out about having no business and that people aren't buying cars, maybe if there was a bit more enthusiasm and proper interaction with customers and a bit of effort they would be.

Tried to buy my wife a new car last year - 32K budget (company car) - straight deal.
Went to 8 dealers around Limerick/Shannon/Ennis and drove several cars - asked them to email me a quote - 1 dealer came back a couple of weeks later.

These guys got so used to just taking orders during the boom years they forgot how to sell. Not sorry to see so many of them go to the wall now. This industry needed a serious kick up the hole.

I was looking at an FTO in Enterprise just before I bought my own.
He had one inside, tightly parked with other cars.

The salesman/security (I'm not sure which, but he was useless at both) looked annoyed when he found me sat in it.
Needless to say I never went back

Just for a laugh, here's one they were selling a few years before that...

€14.5k, them were the days, that must have been a good few years back.
As per MyfeckinFTO that's my old ride and more recently Deans, the subject of the original post.

Slightly off topic, but I believe enterprise has effectly vanished. Showroom and forecourt completely empty now. Relocation or gone bust?

Looks like they are back in business, there's obviously a story behind this one, anyone have the inside track?
