Alternative Gearboxs

Does anyone know what other mitsubishi (manual) gearboxs will fit an FTO? It seems to be quite difficult to get a gearbox for an FTO. Apparently the colt cyborg box fits but does anyone know if it requires different drive shafts?
Does the Galant, Lancer or Carisma box fit?

I would be hugely surprised if the Carisma box fitted, as it's not a REAL Mitsubishi.


Contact this crowd: Wincanton Motorsport - they did the V6 MIVEC transplant into TinTin's Colt. think he has a Cyborg box in his Colt. so the box will fit the engine, whether the box will fit the car, and what the ratios are like is another matter entirely.
