That car looks fairly clean, all you're missing is a radio.
I'd question the owners parking ability and taste in shoes though...

She looks alright - you'll need to get a new oil filler cap though - that one there has the dreaded 710 issue..

I love those sun roofs..

To be truthful if your buying in the UK I'd go for a manual GR or GPX. You'll have lots of choice and they are pretty cheap as there's plenty of them and well looked after... How much is that one?

I was thinking hold off for a manual but went for a spin with colm last night and find the tip changes gear just as fast as a manual and I don't have to worry about clutch going in future

You can try justify it all you want D-dan, it's still not a manual! How are you ment to take a chase in a tip?
Just kidding, but nothing beat's the power of the manual, I could never see myself driving an automatic car! It's just no fun.

Marie, sounds to me like you've never driven a tip GPX! Any FTO is a hoot to drive as far as I'm concerned.

You may not need to worry about the clutch going but you'd have to think about the auto gear box going.... I know which I'd prefer to pay for....
If you're buying through the UK I would hold out for a manual if I were you, as mark said, there should be a long list of cheap well looked after manual GR's and GPX's....

I have owned both manual and Tip Gpx's and enjoyed both. To be honest if I was a city driver I would go for the tip no questions.
And unless you have driven both tip and manual of the same model you cannot say manual is better every time!!
The tip will go forwvwr if thebox is serviced at regular intervals.

I'm no genius on FTO's hell I've only owned one for a few weeks (and lovin it by the way!!) but I test drove quite a few, including Tip GRs. GS' and GPX and the manual versions but I think the manual is the best. Not for performace or anything like that but I just get a cheap thrill when I drop gears to take it up to 5-6k revs! I know the Tip does the same obviously but where's the fun in just pulling a lever down, no clutching, hearing the sweet sound of the gears kicking in as you let off..... I don't know just it would have to be a manual every time for me.....

Now if you'll excuse me I think I need to have a moment.....

I've owned a Tip GR and a Manual GPX and driven a load of Tips and Manuals over the past few years and while my ideal choice would be a manual mivec I have driven plenty of Tips that I quite enjoyed. It all really comes down to the condition of the FTO. When I bought my first FTO I went with a Tip GR because despite test driving many manual versions of the FTO the 20K mile example of the Tip I found was the cleanest FTO I could find. The Tip gearbox is excellent - the fact that many have never seen an oil change would be a cause for concern though - I'd want to know that any Tip FTO I bought had regular oil changes.

I would take a clean Tip GPX over a tatty Manual GPX anyday.

deffenitely agree with you there... the car dose need to look well even if its in a colour you dont like... id go for the fact that its clean and cared for.

remember guys its only the other day that i chanced my oppinions of a TIP...

and really it looks to me like you can push and pull a tip stick
or you can have the option of going from side to side with the manual...

now there is alot more to it... but really i didnt see any problem with the tip... now its a bit empty looking down in the foot well and was actually a bit daunting when you sit in the seat for the first time the fact theres no clutch knocks you out of your stride expecially when like me i havnt driven an automatic in over a year
