I be;lieve always in cases like this a picture is worth a 1000 words. Take as many pics as possible. Document everything time and date.

And when this is all sorted I think you should name and shame this company so as no other Dublin member gets caught again.

Just debating whether to send it back there now and get this wrapped up (hopefully) or drag it out legally...

The fella I was talking to told me he was accountable for what happens from here on out whereas nobody else I've spoken to has actually had any accountability. Thus, he suggests, he'll make absolutely sure that it's done in record time and up to standard. He also said he'll have the car audited afterwards to ensure that everything is done properly and that I'm happy with it.

Also, the garage will be responsible for providing the courtesy car this time around so it'll be on their own dollar. Of course that probably means they'll give me a shed.

He also gave away that this isn't the first time they've had trouble with the garage and that it will be looked into on a separate basis to my own case. Sounds like a certain garage will be losing their Axa approval status...

As far as name and shame, obviously I will. I'd actually surprised if I haven't given it away in this thread already. I think anyone who knows the place will be quite surprised. They have a good reputation.

I would get an independant assesor to check it all over, cost covered by the insurance company of course.
If the claim submitted to the insurance is for new parts and you want new parts then they should be fitted.
