HID lights..Group buy maybe..??

Postby gfalls » Fri Aug 01, 2008 3:45 pm

I got this email from Hogan Equipment:

Question is, are the FTO lights digital or not? Could save €50 if they aren't. Possibly save even more if we all get some. What's your opinion?

Hi George,

We currently have 6000K HB4/9006 kits in stock. Does your car display a warning on the dash when a bulb blows (you can test this by unplugging one of the bulbs and then turning the lights on while the engine is running)? If yours doesn't have the dash warning light, we currently have a promotion on non-digital kits which will suit your application.
This would cost €100 (incl. Shipping and vat.).

If your car does have the dash warning, then you would require a digital kit which costs €150 (incl. Shipping and vat).

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Denis

Please note:
All Ballasts come with a one year warranty. All bulbs come with a three month warranty.

they can be had cheaper than €100 anyway.

do a search for "really cheap HID" on this forum and you'll get the link,
I think sinlessgunner got them even cheaper again

Nope, not digital.

It's not possible to replace the HID bulbs with LEDs if that's what you're asking? HID = High Intensity Discharge, which is what makes the lights so bright.

As Colm said, I bought mine on EBay for E75 inc. postage. Saying that, one of the ballasts went weak but I sent an email to the seller and had a new ballast within a week. Good quality too!
