Just replied to your post on the FTOOC forum Mark ;)

Whats the name of the show are you looking to attend by the way? I'm sure we could organise to get a get-together of some sort.

Ah, that will be 100% modified in the RDS:

http://www.xtremeautos.ie/index2.htm

Should be an interesting crowd at this (ie the same sort that turned up for 'Drag Wars' ;)) Don't Max Power have something to do with this?

Think a carpark full of kitted puntos, micras, starlets and corsas ;)

That aside, I'm sure we could get a contingent together for the day, keep us up to date on what you decide. By the way, theres nothing over here FTO-wise that would touch your motor for mods so you should at least have a very unique car to show off!

Not any more. Between the prices of the Yen and our Vehicle Registration Tax (a double tax on top of the standard 21%), it just isn't cost effective for dealers to import the numbers of private cars that where coming in a couple of years ago.

Thats a hard one, I'd say its a toss up between either Daz and Dave kit wise, see the Gallary page

As you find out more details, let us know, we'll store up the hospitality 'til then ;)

ferries...

Postby cakesparky » Thu Mar 25, 2004 7:33 pm

depends which ferry you get across....
The high speed crossings (smaller things) generally not so full and primarily use one lower floor deck...less ramps and less inclines...
the bigger buggers (like the Irish Ferries one...The Ullyssess (or spelling like that!!!!) is mother feck for low skirts!
steep short ramps and lots of them, the crew are usually pretty attentive though if you pull up and chat with them, they will keep a aclose eye out and may assign you a low level 'berth'....worth asking...
I had probs with a Porsche 944 i regularly brought back and forwards (Before i saw the lght and ditched the pile of crap and bought my FTO!!!)

anyway good look and if the guys can organise the dates i'll maybe come and see your car...

cheers

The main difference between a UK "bare flesh & tossers" festival and one here will be that at least in the UK you'll see some nice cars but over here (because of insurance) all you're gonna see are a small handful of decent cars and a whole pile of modified corsas, micras, starlets (99% 1lts), a few 1.4 civics and plenty of skin tight levis, shell suits, air max and soverign rings :-)

Doubt I'll head along to the show especially after hearing about the farce that was "Drag Warz" :? but I'd love to see you're car in the flesh :-)

Hey markyboy,

How you doing kid, nice to see i remembered, and speaking of remembering i remember youand you FTO, Lads i have seen this beast in the flesh (pre door mods) its f*cking awesome, i considered the flip on mine after seeing yours as a last thing to do to it, but with the stone chips we get here i decidede against it that and seeing civics, corsa's ect having crap versions done making themlook truely aweful. You'll enjoy yoursel in dublin mate, unfortunatly i'm working nites that wknd so i won't get a chance to meet up with you again, which is a pity(would like to see what else to have done to her, sine i last saw it), But i'm sure which ever of the lads her you get to meet they will look after ya,

Don't be too dissapointed with the show just take it for what it is, after being to shows both here and england i can say the english shows are far superiour, but enjoy yourself all the same

Have fun

Anyone know the situation of bring NOS over to Ireland and in particular on the ferry.Cant see them being to happy about it on their big boat, might need to hide it somehow even though its the biggest bottle they do and its polished in the bargain....

I can't see an issue here, anyway, what they don't know won't hurt them.
Looking forward to seeing the car when you come over.

Ireland show

Postby markyboy.1967 » Mon Mar 29, 2004 2:03 pm

Well i have decide to come along to Ireland after all.We will be landing in Belfast and driving to Dublin on the Fri afternoon. We will be staying across from from the RDS in Ballsbridge--where ever that is, will be at the show on the Sat and leaving on the Sunday afternoon to get home again. If you see me then flash your lights, should be in convoy with a few other cars--Nissan Skyline fully modded, possible a 700bhp MR2 drag car and another possibility if the car is back together is Mark Emery`s EVO IV engined FTO...

Nice mix of motors there esp. the EVO engined FTO! Ballsbridge is quite close to the city centre, I imagine that they're putting you up in Jurys or somewhere similar.
