How much did the mapping cost you? Also, did they provide the neo unit thing? As I'm thinking of getting a new piggy back ECU and getting her remapped

So by my calcs you got a 1% decrease in BHP and a 3% increase in Torque.

Surely this is not noticeable when driving ?

I'm glad to see you got some value of this mod i.e low down torque, this one of the areas in which the FTO could do with improvement. Your torque curve has a number of dips in the after graph, to me, it needs more work.

I still maintain that theres little value to be had by installing and mapping aftermarket ECUs in an FTO. When you consider the cost of the unit, mapping and dyno time, you would be better off spending the money on big brakes or body lightening mods.

ahh he game me some homework and told me some stuff to do and to come back to him for another dyno!

air ram, air box, mods to cool the core temp.

im pretty happy with it!

also your looking at this all for power! another thing is... im saving on petrol as its alot more echonomical

Pretty tasty low end torque there! I'd like to see how it drives compared to my pretty standard GPX.

I think I might go for a turbo conversion a couple of years down the line just because it sounds like fun and I've no sense when it comes to money. ;)

Very high torque figures for a GPX - Nice. Especially surprising considering the mods which generally would sacrifice torque for bhp.

Your at the wheel BHP figures still seem a little low compared to his calculation for flywheel bhp though. If my last FTO's 164bhp at the wheel =193bhp at the flywheel then how come your 156bhp at the wheel = 199bhp at the flywheel????? How did he come up with this estimate?

More torque = good..

Now all you need to do is to lighten the car.. Shave the roof lining - remove the aircon and some wheel nuts and you're there. :-)

Dan you're a nutter - but I'm really looking forward to seeing this car tearing up the strip in limerick.

Me too! - well done on the recent work on the FTO but you got a tall order of a 14.7 sec 1/4 mile to beat in September.

the low power, anything to do with the temp being 32 degrees as the last one was 14 degrees.

im putting it down to that a bit....

iv about 2 things i want to do under the bonnet,
    (airbox/ heat shelding)

want to get some lighter alloys,

then my cars going on a diet
carbon exterior & a bucket seat.
(all ill need as im gonna remove everythign for the sprints)
