Tyre Fitting

Hey. Anyone know where is a good place on the south side to get my tyres fitted and any idea of the cost?? Thinks of getting Eagle F1's off EIRETYRE..

hard to find a place to fit the tyres when you buy them from the net isnt it ?:)
red cow rondabout - there is a place just next to FORD .. i'll tell u more exacly tomorow.
price .. hmm around 15 eur / tyre balanced & all

behind RED COW hotel in that ind estate there is a place to fit .. there is around 10/tyre .. but they are usualy very busy and u need 2 book before ..

You'd get them in from camskill cheaper...

Yea camskill are about the same price I'll get it off them so... support the FTO business.. I live near ballymount so I'll pop down with the tyres when I get them.,. Thanks

Before you buy the tyres off the web run the prices by a few tyre dealers to see if they can do any better. It may make more sense if they can even get close to the price and throw in the fitting,balancing and tracking/alignment for free. I personally don't know any tyre dealers that would be particularly happy about fitting tyres that were bought elsewhere.

its a good point. If you buy any tyres off my mates garage in balbriggan it always includes free changing on the rims, balancing and fitting etc. They'd wanna be a good bit cheaper for me to buy online.

I tried (first stop I think) by the square they where charging €190 per tyre for the F1's... Just had a ring around there Hanover have TOYO's for €130 fitted which is not bad. Fitted and balanced so might go with them. Camsilk have the F1's tyre for €118..

Yea don't think they would be happy with me showing up with my own tyres.

I know EAGLE F1s are meant to be right up the top, but I got offered a great deal on Kumho KU31s. I have heard off 3 or 4 people they are a really good tyre. Anyone using them?

Not heard of them but the review below is favourable. Used Kumho Esctas in the past (a 'sports' tyre apparently) and I would class them as just OK. I'm on Vredstein Ultacs at the moment and I would class them as a slight step above the F1 in terms of wet grip and road noise. Seeing as you're in the area, giuve DTAS in Rosemount a shout for a quote and tell them you're a member of FTO-Ireland (5% discount).

Yeah the guy Im getting the tyres off (Glen) also highly rates Vredesteins. The big thing Im concerned about is the road noise. It's monsterous off what Im using at the minute. I had snow tyres on when the car came in from japan and they were SILENT inside the Version R. The problem was there was more stopping power in a BMX then there was in my car. I swapped them over to the road tyres that were on another FTO off the place I bought the car off.
They were both Yokohamas but mixed models? Anyway, Im not sure if its because they wer epart worn on another car, but they are hella loud in the cabin. Im hoping whatever new tyres I get will be quieter.

In my experience, the Ultracs are a much quieter tyre than the F1.

Rang your man at DCT he's getting me a pair of F1's for about 130 euro PT.. or at least he said he'd ring me back with a quote. There is only a few tyres that will fit my wheels 215 40 R17 .. anyway I mentioned this site 5% off..

I had Kumho Ecstas before, would not rate them as highly as the Pirellli P6000's that replaced them. They lasted longer than the Pirellis to be fair.

Getting the New KU31s on my car. They feel good so far. 10 times quieter than the mixed set I had on the car. I'll see how they go.
