Its a place called Redwood lodge, not sure if its a big place or a small place, its across the road from the RDS.Is the RDS the name of the place the show is being held?or are we at least close to the show...

RDS is the name of the venue

Redwood Lodge is a Victorian 'Grade A' Guesthouse located in the heart of Ballsbridge, close to restaurants, pubs, and many of Dublin's toursit & historic attractions

You'll be a 5min taxi ride from the Stephens Green\Grafton Street\Dawson Street area where most of the decent bars and resaurents can be found.

So is anyone coming along to the show? I land off the HSS on Friday at about 11.45am arriving in Belfast or there abouts.Driving to Dublin on the Friday, so if you see me and a Nissan Skyline-alsoflip paint and big big bodykit then give us a flash of the lights.

Myself and Mark H. met up @ the papal cross in the Park, 3 or 4 different sets of Canadian kids who were part of a tour came over asked asked if they could take pictures of our cars, class or what 8)

There were some seriously nice motors @ the event in the RDS (Skyline, 360, GTO, Supras) and as you would expect, there were also some seriously bad cars in attendance (Pugs, Meganes, Golfs). The hightlight of the show of course was Mark Molloys FTO, what can I say - its a serious bit of kit, its obvious when you see this car close up that a whole lot of time and money has been spent on the car, it looked the business. The flip painted Skyline parked up in the same stall really added to the unique look of the car.
Good to meet you Mark by the way, hope you got the motor home in one piece! FTO Gal, didn't get to say to much to you but myself and Mark headed fairly shortly after we spoke, the few drinks the previous night didn't sit well with the wall of bass that was assalting my head from every angle! (The music was way too loud, either that or I'm getting old  ). We also stumbled across Mr. Myagi in our travels, I think the next time we meet up, we'll pick somewhere where we can actually have a conversation! In saying that it was a good day bearing in mind the small number of FTO'ers in attendance.

FTO

Postby markyboy.1967 » Mon Apr 12, 2004 10:10 am

Really nice meeting you folks.Met about 8-9 owners while i was over there and reccomended they join this site.Had a great time in Dublin.

The show was bigger than i thought it would be and was along the same sort of lines as Max Power live--bloody thumping music all day.Cant believe we couldnt get a drink on Good Friday though--whats that all about? We hadnt even got out the main RDS entrance when the m8 in the MR2 drag race car decided to play up to the crowds and perfore a doughnut just where Russ Swift had done his--only thing he didnt reccon on was that the semi cut drag rear tyres would grip more than the front whichthen made him snake along the road and into the show ground fence. This was to a chearing crown--he was very very embarrassed by the whole thing.Loads of damage to his car and the fence--the RDS manager wasnt at all happy..  His car is far to powerful to do this which he found out to his great expense.Anyway had a good journey home and the FTO is parked up waiting for a good clean today.Anyone who i said i would get parts for hen mail me as im not the best at remembering this sort of thing....Speak to you all soon...

General consensus around various sites seems that it wasn't a bad show... any pics from it anywhere?
