MAF Plug Problem

Postby scotty212uk » Mon Mar 29, 2010 8:15 pm

Ok so story goes - i have an automatic FTO and have had it for a year- i was having some problems with it idling the other day and loosing power when on the motor way - it has a piece of rubbish aftermarket air filter on it which is going very soon - i have already ordered an original airbox off the interenet - anyway i poped the bonnet and disconected the MAF plug as i thought there maybe a little dirt on it or something but there was a small bit of wire on one of the pins shorting something out as when i took this off and pluged it back in there is now a probelm with airflow when shifting into differnt gears - for example when it shifts from 1st to 2nd i have to take my foot off the accelerator and wait like a second and half before i can give it more gas other wise it just revs its knackers off......

now i dont know where to put the wire back until i get my new airbox = help please!!!!!!!!!!
