Delimiter / speedo converter

Postby Spitfire » Mon Nov 05, 2007 12:41 pm

Just bought a speedo converter/delimiter , just wanted to check that it isn't gonna mess anything else up like the ECU, Tiptronic gearbox, ect?

it connects to the gearbox speed sensor..

??

Thanks

Tony

Also, is the Gearbox speed sensor the plug directly behind the engine, in the center bolted to the bulk head?

My understanding is that the entire point of connecting it to the gearbox speed sensor is to avoid messing with the ECU so you shouldn't have a problem.

I would imagine it's just a fairly simple pulse dividing chip that sends a slower pulse to the ECU. ie. one for every 1.6 from the sensor.

I have one in my manual GPX (came with it) and it hasn't caused any trouble!
