WD40 also works for removing tar.

a little dab of petrol on a piece of cloth does the job also..

Careful now, can cause the colour to fade if you use too much of it. The Autoglym tar removar is the easiest and quickest, jkust squirt it on the car and it disolves the tar, wipe off then.

Good point. A rub of polish or wax will take the fade away, works for me every time.
