so a little update for today,

Upgraded fuel pump went in last night (with alot of hastle i may add)

Also managed to relocate the battery to the boot, (not quite finished need one or two more things)

And a nice posh wiretuck (with the added heat from the turbo i tryied to get as many wires and hoses out of the way as possable and also get them out of sight too)

and the remainder of the AC came out.

so heres a few pics

comming along nicely,

Head's are back on, Turbo is fitted just one more pipe to fit,
Oil feed to the turbo Fitted
Oil return to the sump Fitted,
Oil cooler Fitted,
Oil catch tank kitted, (using a mad setup for the breather pipe in the rocker cover and connecting it to intake and then to the sump)
Vernier Camgears fitted (not easy i will add)
ECU wired in,
Boost controller wired in
Aditional Injector wired & plumbed in,
Fuel pressure regulator fitted,

So just come vacume pipes to be connected up and T'd in,
And have to set the car up with No ABS so new lines needed,
Also removed the AC so need a new shorted belt.

Guys you have no idea how im feeling right now,
You can see it all there, and I know that i could jump in and turn the key....

Its so close its unreal

Cool, you got any updated pics.

Is there a reason (other than you don't like it) that you're removing the ABS?

the reason it has to come out,
is that the exhaust pipe from the turbo will hit it. and even moving it it will just melt wires and stuff.

You really have no idea of how tight it is for space in there.
had to move and extend.
Heater matrix pipes,
cables soooo much...

also had o heat wrap the turbo and now need to heatwrap a section of the engine.

Good stuff Dan, seems to be a lot of work there that you wouldnt take into account when planning a turbo conversion.
When do you reckon you'll totally hhave her up and running?

all going well she could be fired up tonight,
but depends on other things. just waiting on putting on the timing belt on.

Also removed the AC so need to get a new smaller power steering belt.

See the thing is you cant preempt much of the setup of the stuff you need to do in terms of the layout. but really easy way to look at it is relooming for an engine transplant

ALL DONE

was out in the shed till 2am making the last few bits fit, and making the dump valve elbow for the intercooler.

iv about 4 feet of vacume hose and 5 feet of 10mm hose,
And an air filter to get.

Shes Oiled up with the new increased 4.7L of 10W40
3L of coolant topped up with 3L of water.
And a gearbox oil change (just for the hell of it)

The power amp for the 7th injector still needs to get power, and I need about another 8 FT of battery cable to run it to the boot.

pics to follow tomorrow

Fired her up today,
after yesterdays issue with fueling(majour fuel leak)

So have 2 small issues, turbo oil feed & return are leaking,

Shes sounding well and was great o hear it as she hasnt been running for nearly a month.

Oil level in the FTO as standard taks 4.2L of oil im using over 6L now.

I pushed her up to 4k revs taking it nice and handy the exhaus tone is quite different compaired to the old gurgle.

iv no way to upload pics at the moment but will put some up as soon as I can

ok small problem... the oil pressure sensor isnt getting enough pressure as iv tapped the turbo oil feed from there,

So im gonna need to get another sandwich plate and feed the turbo from there.
