bit pricey?

Postby dillon » Tue Sep 13, 2005 6:06 pm

Hi

i'm looking to change my car and i've always loved the look of the fto and i'm considering splashing out on one. I just spotted this ad:

http://www.carzone.ie/usedcars/index.cf ... rID=256611

seems a bit on the pricey side to me, anyone looked at it or bought anything from these guys in the past? do they take trade in's?

also the ad doesn't say if it's a gpx or gpvr but i'm sure ye can tell from the body styling, right?

thanks

seems a bit on the pricey side to me, it's a GPX, the GPvR has blue or red seats as standard and it doesn't have aircon!

apart from some stickers there isn't any other cosmetic differences that i know of.

never dealt with them either!! not turning out to be of much use here!!

It's a GPX and it's manual which is good. For the milage it's a bit pricey though - no harm going along to see the car and seeing what kind of a deal can be done! Find out what the lowest price the stealer will take...

I've checked out this car in Enterprise Motors - It was also for sale out at the Show in the Limerick Racecourse at the weekend at €13950 so I'd say he'd take your arm off for 13.5K on a straight deal which is a little expensive but it is a '99 GPX Manual. Some small scratches and pin dents which may need to be taken care off but other than that its a nice car.

There are not much nicer cars to be gotten for 13.5K - but I'd also check out the insurance cost if I were you.

Well.... if the car is bog standard with no factory extras you can usually tell to a point, but nothing stopping an owner from changing his spoiler to another type, changing bumper, etc etc.

So basically you can never be sure unless you see it in the flesh and check the various give aways.

Its the twisty dials instead of the nice screen with the seat logo on it!!
Only works on setting 3 + 4 so your either stuffy or blasted... must fix this at some stage!
