could be a bargain alright. Might be priced to sell because of TAX/Insurance issues... It would be a very expensive car to own.

If you are buying a GTO then better to go for a Turbo than a 3l NA Auto.
You'll end up paying the same tax and similar insurance and have none of the performance. An GPX would leave this GTO for dead - too heavy- too slow - too ponderous.

Still I suppose if performance wasn't your thing and you didn't mind the running costs then its a LOT of sheet metal (and it does look well to be fair) for the money.

Agreed. Same reason that you see Supras for cheap but it turns out they're non-turbo. Have the looks but not the power and then you get beaten at the lights all the time and theres no satisfaction.
