oh no.just broke my anti roll bar

just broke my anti roll bar and was wondering has anyone changed it themselves.was it hard to do and how much do the bars cost

How did you manage that, pothole perhaps? Front or rear?

In order to remove the ARB, you need to remove the cover on the ARB bushes and disconnect the ARB droplinks on each side of the car, the bar should then come straight out.

yea it was a pot hole.was only doing around 30 mph.is ita case of opening the required bolts to remove it or is there semothing more complicated that i am missing

I'm assunming its the front ARB? Get the car up on stands, remove the front wheels. First undo the droplink bolts on the ARB, then get in at the ARB bush collar (follow ARB towards engine, it can be tight, patience required). A set of sockets and spanners is all you should need. Now is a good time to replace bushes and droplinks. Assuming you're not familar with the specifics, see pic below.

hey cj.thanks fro the reply.meant to say it was the front ones.sorry.are they available in motor factors or are they only stocked by specialist.

A second hand one will do you just fine, I'm sure steelroe or someone can help out. Alternatively, get in touch with camskill.co.uk (or rotarims.ie if you want to source an aftermarket ARB from the likes of Whiteline).
