Three Mobile phone network

Guys,

having pretty regular problems with the Three network, just wondering am I on my own or is everyone else having the same issues?

- every so often phone loses coverage, and I need to turn the phone off & on again to get coverage again
- every so often I'll call someone, don't hear any ring tone, it connects (can see seconds counting up) but can't hear the person I'm talking to and they can't hear me. Hang up and ring again straight away and get through no probs.

Its been like that all year since I switched to them, no improvements. Lost all faith in the staff in the 3 shop too, think they tell me what I want to hear and hope I go away for a while. Thinking strongly of switching in Jan when my year is up! :x

Anyone else find the same? or are the other showers just as bad?

Kev.

 soz... I'm pretty fed up with them at the moment.

They were telling me that you have to turn off & on your phone every few days because with the 3G it gradually loses coverage, and might not have coverage even if your phone tells you you have full coverage (well one guy told me it was because the 3G phones were like little computers and they needed to be rebooted every so often  ).

If this is true give me 2G anyday, I don't use the multimedia stuff anyway and have more to be thinking/worrying about than having to turn my phone off every few days.

Support is woeful, if your problem's not in the script you're out of luck.

Yeah my previous 6680 (on vodafone) would drop the 3g network completely in my house - but there is full cover in the house as verified with my gfs crazy work phone pda yoke (I forget the name I think it's called pearl or something) she has interweb and all sorts on there fairly impressed - yet I couldnt use my phone..wtf?!?

Anywho my current 6680 works better - so I'm inclined to think that there could be a firmware difference involved...maybe the way phones connect to the 3g network is different now to what it used to be?
Also is it a problem with the service provider or the protocol they use?

I tried both 02 and Vodafone in the old 6680 and had the same issue..Haven't had a chance to test "3" cover yet..but rest assured if it's crap they'll be hearing from me...I have a landline I can call them from..

The actual coverage area is not a problem, if you can't get 3 reception you automatically roam on Vodafone (doesn't cost you any extra). Tried to find new firmware for the phone before to see if that was the problem but either couldn't track it down or it was already up to date, can't remember which.
