my sprayed wheels

ok so i was sick of my wheels being silver...they were very flaky cause of bein in england with the salt and all that jazz..... So me and lee took a notion to spray them at the weekend!!

came out well considerin how bad they were...... BUT need to do them again and totally strip the paint off them first! but for noe they look alot better than in silver!!!


what do ye think???

Looks like a good job. its important to get as much of the old paint and lacquer off the wheel as possible for a better and longer lasting finish. The advantage of wheels sprayed like this without a laquer final coat is that they can be easily touched up the next time you meet that inevitable pothole.

I had previously powder coated a set of wheels on the last FTO but when damaged the laquer would start to "spider web" so I (& a couple of mates) went back to basics:

Looks great.... you should have done the calipers at the same time though... a nice red would go well there!! :)

looks much better with dark rims... really suits the red.

ya calipers are goin red when i get my new brake discs!!! the mistu sign in the centre cap is goin red too!!

have to do em really well soon cause we didnt get all the bumps and flakes smoothed out as well as we taut so next time its off wit the tyres and out with the nitro mors and stirip those babies right!!!!

Im not laquering then either cause i like the satin finish!
