Insurance ?????

hi,

I was seriously looking at getting an FTO but when checking out much the insurance was going to hurt (and i expected it to be bad!!!) practically every company refused to even quote. the only quote i did get was 3700 Euro TP only, which is crazy.

my story - 28, 4 yrs NCB, full licence, so i guess my question is where are you guys getting insured???

Brendan, based on your criteria, you should be paying a lot less than €3700 on insurance for a 2L V6 engined FTO, check out the relevant sticky on this forum with regard to the premiums that people are paying.

Brendan, I have the same details as you and the cheapest quote I am getting online is 2k at the moment. It was 1800 but for some reason it has gone up. That's just using 123.ie I was getting decent quotes off Quinn but they have since taken it off.

My 22 year old cousin went to Hibernian and they quoted him on a Celica, Prelude, etc but wouldn't insure him on an fto (BTW he has 6 points).

Sorry just to add, that was for TP, it was 2,600 for comp. At the moment I my fiance insures mine and I insure her car. Very much cheaper!
