Lambo doors........

Postby trotgtt » Sun Dec 02, 2007 12:07 pm

I think these will be my first major mod, but there are so many kits to choose from, with prices ranging from £300 to ££££ !

Has anyone had any experiences with the cheaper variety you can get from ebay?

Any experiences good or bad, and some recommendations would also be great

The cheaper ones are known to give a lot of problems - particularly so with a car like the FTO which has quite heavy front doors. It really just comes down to the quality and strength of the bracket and how well its fitted.

TBH - this wouldn't be one of the first mods I'd do on an FTO - I think the FTO would have to be fairly heavily modded before I'd want to add lambo doors.

Can look naff or can look good depending on the overall look of the FTO and of course your own personal taste - I like the yellow FTO below - I think the doors work on this as part of the overall package.

Personally I think with a good set of alloys and a nice interior these could look really well on the FTO, without going overboard.

Agreed, lambo doors I think make a big difference to a car, I know they wouldnt be noticed when just driving through somewhere but when you stop and get out I think with a car that looks as good as the FTO anyway thy stand out moreso.

You'd have to avoid multistory car parks though...
