no it is just a little tarting!....

bits and bobs - no cheap tacky mods going on it - on the lookout for some decent decals - anyone else got some on their motor - are they difficult to put on?

just needs a good polish really - and got some flaking laquar on the bumper hence need new front bumper - would be cheaper to get that than get it redone!....like i said hoping to get some pics on here soon....

IMO decals fall into that category! no offence!

I think FTOs look better if you take the approach that the car has to look like it could have come from the factory. As in no crazy mods, just upgrading and modernising the look of the car.

That's my old FTO, had a load of modifications done, but none that jump out at you. I had an FTO before that that was way overdone, and I much prefer the subtle look.

I'd suggest the following:

Exterior
Clear side repeaters
HID conversion
Nice 17" wheels
Lowering springs (Apex look best IMO)
Painted calipers or brake upgrade
Remove Mitsubishi badge from boot
Remove orange plastic inside front indicators

Interior
Alu Dial rings and needle cups
KMC dials

But each to their own etc etc

Thats one nice looking FTO - paintwork looks great on that one - what did you use to polish it up like that?

loving the double exhaust also!

And, what's wrong with decals exactly..??
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Nothing special, just cheap coloured turtle wax. gave it a machine polish/compound too, and the skirts got painted that week.

Point is, you don't have to go nuts on modifications to have a nice looking FTO. spend the effort/money on getting the basics right and then set that off with some subtle mods.

When applied without accounting for taste, decals can ruin an otherwise great looking car.

A case in point:

Apparently those decals add 18bhp. It's the only way I can explain the 215bhp power claim....
