The TPS shouldn't need any servicing unless it needs to be replaced. Did you recalibrate it or just chance slotting it back in the correct position?

There was already white paint marking where the two bolts holding it were so i just lined it up again on the two of them. Are they both TPS or is one used for something else?

You should be OK. If you experience erratic idling or cut outs then it may be related to the TPS tolerances being out of whack, moral of the story is stay away unless you need to change it!

Just bought a cambelt kit from CamSkill. £102 + del -discount so it should work out at about €105 or there abouts.

Also, further from my working on the car last time, I'm now getting a mild hunt at minimum revs and it seems to have dropped back down to 500RPM again. The battery definitely fixed the other little issues like the radio and volt meter and such. So now all I have are these rev issues. Need to do a diagnostics soon as well to find out what the engine light was for last week. Ah cars, the never ending fun that can be had with them is great.

Likely culprits - either you need a new stepper motor or the TPS is out of whack....

I'm looking into getting myself a new clutch in the coming month or so. If I'm doing the timing and all that over a weekend then I might aswell take the box off. Anyone know if I should bother changing the flywheel and if so where should I get one as the OE one is VERY pricey from camskill.

I wouldn't bother replacing the flywheel unless you're upgrading it.

That's my thought also. Seems like there's no reason to unless it's causing an issue.

Hehe, remember when it nearly fell off? That was an issue! Still didn't need replacing though.

Okay, so here's a list of the stuff I am no able to do in one go.

Lambda sensor,
Clutch,
Cambelt, tensioners and other belts,
Rear plugs,
Full engine bay dress-up bolt kit,
Engine clean,
Need to find the leak in my clutch system (Keep having to top it up).

Question is...would taking the engine out make the process a bit easier and quicker? Considering it's a gearbox out job and the timing side would be very easy if the engine was out.

Not a bump, but I'm losing clutch fluid as quick as I use fuel. I can see the puddles building up on the master cylinder side. Anyone ever changed one of these or can one get a cylinder rebuild kit? Anyone got one going?

Gerry is breaking a 97 GX manual. I can only assume the clutch is the same.

*UPDATE*

Bought myself a new frontpipe section for the FTO. Replaced it along with the lambda sensor and the car sounds great again and in a short while I'll know if the mileage has improved (which I expect it will). Got to use the electrical wiring manual for the first time too and boy what a help it was.

Next on my urgency list is to sort out the rear suspension. It rattles like mad over ramps (not the exhaust) and the car is twitchy on windy roads.

I also really want to get my from ARB bushes done, any know what the nest way to do this is? I had a go a while back and could only get one nut out.

This is a pretty straightforward job, spray the bush retainer nuts and droplink nuts with WD40 the day beforehand to make your job that bit easier, you don't need to disconnect the droplinks bit it makes the job that bit easier. You'll need a spanner (10mm?) to hold the droplink centre section in place while you remove the fixing screws.

That worked lovely for the drivers side but on the passenger side I can't get on the nut with a small socket or a small 10mm spanner. It's so feckin' awkward! Damn my not small hands and arms. I was literally scratching my head for ages trying to figure out if I was being stupid or it was just tight.
