Spotted a lovely 94 Red FTO in MY shed again today, Having terrible trouble trying to insure it and im 50! Spotless licence and have the car 10 years now. Id hate to be 25 and trying to insure one! Used to be able to transfer my main car insurance onto the FTO but not any more, they dont want to know once they hear the 3 letters FTO.!

Campion Insurance.

Insure as classic, but it must be your second car. Expect to pay 250-300

I think most insurance companies have stopped dealing with jap-imports along with the fact the FTO is very hard insure. 50years old though! you'd surely find somewhere to insure you at a reasonable price.

I was with Quinn when I had my first GR a few years ago and it wasn't too bad (around €600 TPFT if I remember right) - im now with Allianz and have just changed onto my GPX and it wasn't a problem at all. didn't even increase my premium at all and all I had previous was a Mondeo. so fully comp for about €300. Maybe its different as I was just transferring over but I cant see why they wouldn't give you a decent quote.
