Cost effective advertising, unlike that ad of Honda's with the bloody grooves in the road. simple but novel at the same time. Doubt the Bentley one is genuine.

I doubt that advertising space on Santa Monica Blvd comes cheap.

Fantastic move though, that Audi advert is nationwide in the US, it seems a local advert agency approached the local BMW dealer in that area with the idea of putting the BMW ad across the road.
